Atlanta Social Justice Symposium Registration

Atlanta is a city that is rich in history, culture, and talent. Progressive leaders here are energized and ready to work with members of the community to address social justice issues that affect us all.

On June 25, the NLC Atlanta Chapter and NLC4 along with hosts Rep. Ronnie Mabra, Judge Dax Lopez, Theo Harvey, Antonio Molina, Michael Sterling, and Jennifer Young will gather with members of the progressive community to take a deep look at the issues we are currently facing and to draft recommendations for state or local policy changes or proposed community initiatives.

The symposium will include simultaneously held workshop sessions. When you register please denote your top choice of workshop to participate in.The workshops are:
  • The Intersection of Law and Politics: Criminal Justice Reform in the 21st Century
  • Health Equity (In)action
  • How We Live and Move: Equity, Transportation, and Housing
  • Disrupting the School to Prison Pipeline and Examining Impacts on Students and Teachers
  • Explaining Income Inequality; The Role of Race, Gender, Culture and Class

Registration is $15 online, $20 at the door. Light breakfast and lunch are included. Host Committee $100, in formation.
