With volatile markets, low energy prices and the uncertainty in China still brewing, the economic data scheduled to be released this week will likely show a worsening outlook in the U.S. — at least in the near-term.
“We believe financial developments since the start of the year reduce the likelihood” of the Federal Reserve hiking interest rates again in March, wrote Nomura Chief U.S. Economist Lewis Alexander in a note to clients Friday.
