The NLC4 Women's Policy Initiative Team Launched in early October in Brooklyn NY. Over 100 participants gather to hear about how to build a narrative, the importance of women in elected office, building coalitions, and how to effectively organize across sectors and platforms.

NLC4 Emerging Leaders – Florida Edition
After the NLC Conversation, NLC4 held another session of its NLC4 Emerging Leaders Training. More than thirty leaders from all five of our Florida chapters participated in an intensive workshop training them in advanced civic participation. With sessions covering the intricacies of community organizing, program and campaign management, and planning for the future, this session provided a “graduate level” training to NLC leaders looking to have a greater impact in the civic process. The National Leadership Retreat, held July 23-25 in Washington D.C. had over 400 guests, from across the nation. The retreat saw policy discussions, keynote speakers, a day long strategy session for the next programmatic year, and a culmination of the weekend with the annual Awards Ceremony.
